CAMPUS LIFE
The Children's Day
Each morning, our teachers greet the children and invite them into the classrooms. Our classes start with the traditional Montessori three hour work period. During this time, the children learn at an indvidualized pace, socialize, and have a snack with a friend. During the morning work time, they primarily focus on math, geometry, language, and reading. The very youngest children work on practical life skills.
After the morning work period is over, our students have a variety of other ways to grow. They have organized physical activities like yoga, soccer, or gymnastics to help train their bodies. They eat a healthy lunch, and even our 3 year olds prepare their own food.
The afternoon activites vary based on the specific child's needs. The younger ones need a nap time, and the older students are able to dive into our cultural studies time. This means that our children get an oppurtunity to study the world around them with studies like botany, zoology, and geography.
